About My Studio

Art has always been part of me. It’s how I see, feel, and express the world around me. I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember, always trying new ideas and unusual designs. For me, art is a peaceful, happy place where I lose myself in making something beautiful. When I’m painting, crafting accessories, or experimenting with new materials, the noise of the world fades and creativity takes over. It’s my meditation, my therapy, and my joy.

In 2009, I turned that lifelong passion into a business called Pure Sin. It grew out of my love of jewelry, skulls, fashion, and anything quirky, and it became a collection that celebrates individuality and unapologetic style. Over time my geeky side and my love of the unusual found their way in, which gave the designs even more fun and character.

Outside of Pure Sin, I’m a part-time student, a mom, a volunteer, an artist, and a model. I earned my associate’s degree in General Studies of Art and spent two years teaching for the Allentown School District and Community Services for Children. I was also a manager at Blick Art Materials, and I worked at two natural and organic health food stores, which fed my passion for healthy eating. I’m also a serious coffee connoisseur. At one point I co-owned Retro Oddities with Dave. It was a small shop inside Planet Games in Emmaus, PA, and a haven for art lovers, collectors, and the delightfully weird, stocked with many of my Pure Sin creations.

I spent two years on the West Coast starting in 2007, living in Portland and Seattle, and today I’m back home in Emmaus. I keep exploring, designing, and growing my line with new ideas that come from nature, diversity, and everyday curiosity. The best part of being an artist is that I get to craft, create, and make glorious messes every day, and that makes me one happy woman.
